Did hurricane Rita really have 205 mph winds for a while?

  3. I dont know...the town I was in actually had it passed through. I was very windy,but I doubt the winds were that strong.But,its possible. One women had a big oak tree lifted up out of the grown in her yard and three across the street. Some ppl had very severe damage did to their property. Thank God I was not one of them. I live in Louisiana btw.

  4. I am not a meteorologist. But I live in Sulphur, LA> Rita tore up this place. It leveled Cameron Parish. Alot of it is still leveled. The reason no one talks about it was because Katrina hit New orleans with a smaller hurricane, but because the levees broke, over 1800(I think) died/drowned. If Rita had hit first peolpe would remember.
