I had half a bowl full of sliced frozen strawberries stirred in vanilla flavored yogurt, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I feel like it was too much =/ I'm trying to lose weight. (I'm 17yrs, 5'2" and 139lbs)

  1. No you didn't eat too much.

  2. No, that's fine..just switch it to a full bowl of strawberries and yogurt because that's better for you.  Also add granola to that and you have a great, healthy breakfast that tastes good.  And fun fact, the donuts at Dunkin' Donuts are actually better for you than the bagels.

  3. It depends on how much exercise you do throughout the day.

The best way is to go on a calorie converter and see how many calories your body needs for your day to day activities/exercises :)

  4. yes

  5. Some breakfast!  But good!

  6. Well if you're trying to lose weight, yes you did eat too much.

But for maintaing weight, it was fine.

But I say swapping some of the foods for something more nutritious, coz if your trying to eat less, at least make use of the food you ARE eating.

For example, if you ate the peanut butter jelly sandwich with white bread, swap it to wholemeal/corn/rice bread.

Or instead of the vanilla flavoured yoghurt, you could have a soya drink.

Or instead of the jelly, have real fruit.

Instead of the peanut butter, have the raw nuts, since the peanut butter is processed so it contains more fat/sugar.

Swap at least 2 into two that I listed above and you will have yourself a totally diet approved, nutritious breakfast. (:

  7. No, but maybe you should eat lighter for lunch and dinner? That is, only if you feel guilty for eating too much.

  8. nah, i usually have 5 times that and I'm not fat (i think)

  9. Yes you are definitely too heavy for your age/height...but breakfast is the most important part of the day, and depending on what you eat the rest of the day will make the difference.

How many calories do you think you consume at each meal?

  10. I would not only say its not a bad breakfast but its a great breakfast. You've got fruit, dairy products(yogurt) and carbs(bread).

The amount is fine. you won't snack during the morning which is better than eating a small breakfast and wanting to eat something at 11 am.

  11. The first part was a very good breakfast. Yoghurt and strawberries contain vitamins, calcium and generally makes a really good breakfast. But perhaps the sandwich wasn't such a good idea. A sandwich is more of a meal than a snack. If you are trying to lose weight, you should maybe swap your sandwich for a salad, soup or lean meat with brown rice? A good amount of calories if you are trying to lose weight is 1200-1500 calories.

But try not to worry too much. Tomorrow is another day, and now realised mistake try not to let it happen again. Today, try not to indulge yourself again. Make sure you realise that just because you messed up a little, it doesn't mean you should throw today away or go completely off the wagon and binge! Take back control.

  12. that isnt that bad but the sandwich was a bit much

  13. I have an apple during the day and whatever for dinner. So to me that would be a lot but it probably isn't I guess I just am obsessed with what I eat and I shouldn't be, but yeah that's me! I think the peanut butter sandwich on top of the strawberries too is disgusting and makes me feel sick thinking about it sorry!! The yogurt and strawberries would have been Okay though.
