Recently I had an interview at INS and the officer was some what cruel and spoke very angrily and said that she needed more time to think about the case and she will send an answer in the mail within 2 months.

If they speak angrily does it mean I will get denied or is it just their interviewing tactic?

  1. SOME ARE THEM NASTY AND THE OTHER ONE ARE NICE. IT DEPENDS WHO GAVE THE INTERVIEW.  IF  IT IS AMERICAN,  HE COULD BE RACIST.  WELL, YOU ARE GOING TO LOOK FOR A GOOD IMMIGRATION LAWYER BECAUSE YOU NEED IT.

    BYE.

  2. Did you bring your spouse with you to the interview? It goes much better if you do.

My husband and I went together for his interview and they barely talked to us for 5 minutes and he got his approval. They definitely give the most trouble to people who go alone and to people that don't bring enough documentation. The lady before us left crying and came back an hour later with her husband that had gone to a nearby coffee shop instead of going in with her. Then they reinterviewed them together and it looked like it went a lot better..

We brought everything from phone statements from our phones to show how often we talked to photo albums and even our cat's adoption certificate from the shelter with both of our names on it.

For immigration, it's best to go completely over-prepared rather then just bringing what they tell you to bring.

I'd be prepared to get a 'request for more info' in the mail. Remember, they're trying to make sure your marriage is valid, going by yourself to something as important as an immigration interview that will potentially decide whether you can be together doesn't send the right signals.

  3. No, I think that that is just the way they speak to everyone.  Don't worry about it.  Two months is the average time for a response.

  4. The answer is No. If you have all the supporting papers and your marriage is not a sham marriage, then theres no problem. If shes asking for more documents or proof that you and your spouse are really living together, shes getting suspicious, she need more proof. If the INS people comes in to your house and ask your neighbhors some question about you and your spouse, then your now in trouble, better get an immigration lawyer.

  5. What was she angry about?  There must have been some issue that was a point of contention.

You are not denied as of this time.
