I thought it was the newest model only to find out too late that its the old fat one. Will i be unhappy with the old one? I don't care about the cosmetics just the features that i heard it was lacking.

  1. Marble,

If you are still able to return it for a refund, I suggest you do that. Most stores will gladly exchange your old model for the newer one as long as you're withing the store exchange period policy.

But the new PSP was released in Sept '07 so I'm not sure how you got hold of a new "OLD" PSP???

Anyways, here are the main differences between the older and new model.

While the system looks very similar to the current model, it's 33% lighter, 19% slimmer, and has a faster UMD drive and longer battery life. It also have video output capabilities which will allow PSP video to be played on a television. The system will come in multiple colors in North America: Piano Black, Ice Silver.
