Solve the folowing linear equation: -4(3-x)=2(x+6)

I solved and ended up with -4=x. Is that right?

    -12+4x = 2x+12

    2x = 24

    x=12

    Let's see if yours works.

    -4(3- -4) = 2(-4+6)

    -4(7) = 2(2)

    -28 = 4

    Nope.

    4x=2x+24

    2x=24

    x=12
