  1. Nope you sound fine to me!

  2. in a way, yes. you are returning to media that may put you in a uncomfortable situation. try avoiding programs or movies that might cause you to "relapse".

  3. Not at all.

What you outline was something co-incidental to your regular activities, that being innocently watching telly.

You have to realise you cannot allow yourself to stress out every time you happen to see a female form and feel attraction or a stirring.

A relapse in your particular addiction would be accessing p**n sites again, buying p**n mags or deliberately switching on a p**n channel on cable/sat.

If you are simply watching a regular viewing schedule on regular channels and see something overtly sexual or see a topless woman in a newspaper whatever, that's hardly seeking something out and cannot be construed as a relapse.

I would try to affirm yourself for doing so well for quite a while as addictions go and not needlessly stress out through something beyond your control really, Telly is telly, you are not responsible for content, are you.

Well done on your 6 months of self control mate! : )

  4. what does an addiction to p**n constitute, you watched so much p**n you did nothing else?  I find that hard to believe.  p**n is only wrong if you feel that it is wrong.

  5. good question. it sounds as if your behavior was not intentional.

only the recovering addict of whatever addiction can determine if he or she had a relapse.

the important question is, what have you done since? have you called your sponsor or mentor, have you kept going to meetings and not acted on more impulses?

it sounds like you didnt relapse but now that you know that show contains material that could harm you, you are forewarned.

    good luck.

  6. Don't think so. You weren't looking for it. You didn't pay to rent it or get it online. You didn't purposely set out to find it.  And was it really p**n if no one was actually DOING anything?

  7. lol im a p**n addict and im female.with a man.i don't know why..ur good at least ur not f--ing alot of people and getting std's

  8. no, thats not a relapse.  A relapse would be if you watched p**n or if you hadn't skipped the scence and gotten the same reaction from it that you use to get from p**n.

  9. no but you avoided having one

i hope you recover and its not a good thing to watch either =]

  10. Yes.  You are very bad

  11. I don't think you relapsed.  A relapse is a setback into a bad habit "knowingly".  Were you knowledgeable that the scene with the topless girl was there? I don't think you were because you skipped it.  If you knew it was there and watched it intentionally, I would say "Yes, you definitely relapsed" but obviously you didn't or you wouldn't have turned it off.

It's the same as a drug or alcohol addict...If I'm in recovery and a friend invites me to an event, I should ask, will there be drugs & alcohol there...if they respond yes, I shouldn't attend because that could put me in an uncomfortable situation which might make me want to indulge again.  Now, if I just drop by my friend's house to visit & they are drinking & getting high when I arrive, I should say my "hellos" and then excuse myself and get out of there.  I didn't relapse because I didn't know up front what they were doing & what was going on.

You are fine, don't stress yourself!  Also, you may want to find some other hobbies or interests to occupy your time so you won't reminisce on the "good old days of p**n"!

Cya later & hope this helps you!

  12. give yourself a break your not in control of tv if you turned the station  to something else when you saw what you did you did the right thing!  chances are it will happen again so don't worry

  13. Actually I think you did relapse.  But don't worry it wasn't all your fault.  The best thing to do is start all over with your recovery.  You made it 6 months before now you need to begin a new streak.  You can do it.  If this happens again then you should be worried.
