Definitely.  It is a cost burden for small companies.  However, it is also a sales point!  Once you have the codes, then you are ready to go on any project.  So a company that does NOT have them, can come to you and use your services without having to buy the codes!  They are buying your expertise and your capacity to get the job done.  It's like an investment in your own computers, you have to have them to get the job done.  You can spread the "costs" out over many projects, in essence.

Now if you are freelancing and the company HAS the codes already, then you can use them while you are on their project.  Then they are using you only....

If the program is used for personal or corporate profit you will need a licensed copy of the program. If you will be offering design or engineering services with this program, you will have to have the proper licenses for these services as well.
