  1. Cut back on the lotion. You need enough to to keep it from drying out, but I would not use it frequently.

You could be heading for an infection, and let me tell you--an infected tattoo was more unpleasant than getting it done.

  2. lighten up on the lotion to 1 or 2 times a day. the tattoo will flake away but , if done correctly it should be just fine. do not pick at it !   what you're seeing is the top 2 layers of skin healing --kinda like a sunburn... if it does heal faded, see your artist for a touch up.. it should be free if the artist stands behind his work.

  3. that's the scab falling off.

it's normal and part of the healing process

    it's okay

  4. I hope you can get a refund for your money LOL sike I'm playing no that is over doing it you are not supposed to maintain your tat like that, it's not a baby or a pet. for the first two to three days you are suppose to minimize the amount of water that you get on your newly tat, and washing it and lotioning it three times a day is a bit to extreme hopefully it's just the scap that is supposed to fall off when the tat is healing, if it's not you might want to visit your tat man again and see what he has to say

  5. It sounds like you're over-moisturizing your tattoo to the point where you skin and the ink is saturated and absorbing too much water or lotion and becoming diluted. I would cut back on the lotion and washing to twice a day and you should be fine.
