  1. Who knows what they have done behind closed doors, but nothing that has ever seen the light of day.

  2. some people are tryign to make 'Light' rather than electricity based computers, they would be ridiculously fast.

I think they are currently at the stage of being able to make one or two transistors (the basic building block of a chip) but not millions of them on a single chip yet

some others are tryign to make quantum chips... which use weird property of physics... they could calculate many things all at the same time on the same piece of hardware. They would be able to (in theory) out perform and regular computer type design at certain tasks... more like a brain, but still have trouble with other standard computer type tasks.

Any computer can be overclocked by ridiculous amounts by super cooling it. Its just impractical and too expensive

  3. The big Crays are supercooled. As to "deadly" frequencies, I don't know what you mean. Any frequency that is fatal to man, has a high wattage associated with it. If you're thinking of X-rays and other forms of radiation, they are actual particle emissions, not just RF frequencies.

RF works by causing resonance vibration in the electrons. To move a sufficient number of electrons to be fatal, requires several watts of power generated by very high amperage at the millivolt level of voltage present in a resonate circuit.
