Did invasions into Iraq & Afghanistan set the 'rules' for Russia to go into Georgia? ?

Russia has witnessed US/UK interventions into countries they didn't like. So when they have a local problem - they do the same thing.

Doesn't this just highlight what a big mistake it was to invade Afghanistan and Iraq? Doesn't it show we have set a dangerous precedent.
