No.  He wore 24 with the Seattle Mariners from 1989-1999 for one of his boyhood idols, Rickey Henderson.  From 2000-2005, he wore 30 with the Reds, which was the number his father wore with the Reds.  In 2006 he changed to 3, to honor his 3 kids.  He has also worn 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson, and was the player who thought of that idea.  Hope this helps.
