strong Italian accent, but there is something about his voice I have only heard in northern Italians.

  1. I know why you heard this accent.

    Northern Italians are descended from Celts.  (Latins, Lombards, who came to this area were a very small minority) The Irish are descended from Celts.  That's why you hear a similarity of accent.


  2. Irish Roman Catholic. That accent was a new england one when you hear tapes of him speaking.

  3. He was from Massachusetts and of Irish heritage, actually.

  4. Kennedy's family originated in Ireland.
