Did man actually land on the moon on July 20, 1969 or was it all a hoax???

On July 20, 1969, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong landed on the the Moon, making them the first humans to do so.

But is it true?

Was it all a conspiracy?

We were in the Space Race against the Russians during the time and JFK promised to get to the Moon before the end of the 60s.

If we really landed on the Moon, why haven't we done it again?

What do you people think?

  1. yes, we have

  2. It's an outrageous blatant left wing commie conspiracy against the humble classless petty bourgouisie.

    But it's true.

  3. Yes, man did land on the moon, and not just in July 1969 but on FIVE subsequent occasions, the last one being in 1972.

It happened because the US federal government were willing to allocate a HUGE chunk of money (nearly 25 billion dollars in total - that's about 135 billion in today's money!) to the Apollo program. NASA's budget was drastically scaled down after about 1975 and the money simply wasn't available to send more men to the moon.

The argument about the technology not being available back then is false. NASA didn't require fast and powerful computers. Most of the thinking behind the mission came from old-fashioned mechanical engineering and physics.

Besides old technology isn't necessarily worse than new, it's just more expensive and less convenient. (For example an Ampex video recorder, made in 1956, provided the same picture quality as you get on your DVD player today - except it cost 100,000 dollars and was the size of a washing machine, whereas a DVD player now costs maybe 40 dollars.)

None of the conspiracy theories about the supposed hoax stand up to very close scrutiny. The number of people who would have had to be "in on it" would have made the whole thing implausible.

  4. Yes. Good grief didn't this conspiracy theory die yet?

  5. yes it is true

  6. Where do you think blue cheeze came from..? I was green when they first cut it off the moon's surface, but the earth's

atmosphere made it change colors!  Oh, we have landed man

there several more times, but green cheeze was all they could find as well!

  7. I really don't think anybody walked on the moon..

  8. Please ask this question to Neal Armstrong and Buz Aldrin.  That last person who asked Aldrin this question got his butt kicked!  Deservedly so!

  9. Hoax, they haven't gone back since the last time  they claim landing on the moon.

  10. Here's the deal- Most people believe it because our government told us so - In the rest of the world, they do not believe it- The Russians say they could not do it because it would require a five foot lead shield to protect the humans from radiation that would kill them when they go through the Van Allen radiation belt that circles the planet. NASA scientists, when questioned about this said our spacesuits protected the astronauts from the radiation- but yet to this day there has never been testing of the suits to prove once and for all that we went. There fore we did not go.

  11. Well Mrs Beckham, may I call you Jocelyn? At the time I worked with a couple of guys who insisted it was all done in Disney Land, but I'm pretty sure it was true. Too many people involved, it would have been leaked by now.

  12. I think not. They did not have the technology in the fifties to get them through the heat barrier, + all the fake photography and stuff, it was just too much for me to swallow at one sitting.

  13. Yes. They did land on the moon and return back to Earth. Five other Apollo missions also landed on the Moon following the initial landing by Apollo 11. They were Apollo 12, 14, 15, 17 &17. So we did go to the moon after Aldrin and Armstrong set foot there.

  14. they were actually on uranus not the moon but it's hard to see if you're not that flexible

  15. If it was a hoax who would have been the first to say so.? The Russians. and as they believed it then it has to be true .
