  1. Yes we really did. Some people say no for 2 reasons.

    1) during the early sixties before we landed on the moon, there was a fake moon landing stages to try and fool the russians into thinking we had already done it, because america was scared that the russians would achieve it first. Many people like to say that we never did because they like to believe the conspiracy more than the truth lol. Makes them feel important.

    2) Many bible literalists tell their children that no one has landed on the moon because according to the bible there is no space... just the kingdom of heaven. There is of course a very ellaborate story in the bible about the creation of the universe, but there is no montion of other planets and the infinity of space. So to preserve the religion in the literal sense they lie to their children and tell anyone who says otherwise is going to h**l.... this is the bible-literalists... not all christians or other religious peoples.

  2. YES! we didnt but "THEY "did...

  3. no. a craft built by hundreds of contractors did...then some dude named neil armstrong stepped onto it and got all the glory.

  4. there's no way we'll ever know for sure.  some people say we didn't, but I'm sure they're just bored.  why even bother trying to disprove something like that?

  5. Yes.

  6. ppl say yes bcuz it happened. deal with it.

ppl say no bcuz they are idiots.

your question assumes there is something controversial about this. there is no controversy whatsoever, unless you are an idiot.

  7. Yes they did land on the moon, only people who

    - hate the government

    - know less science than a Highschool student

    - want to make money with their books and videos

    - simply are trolling

    claim otherwise.

    NASA has i.e.

    - eyewitnesses

    - a whole load of documentation (including the tracking data from foreign countries)

    - thousands of pictures

    - hours of film

    - the laser reflectors

    - >300kg of moonrocks

    - a congratulation from the russians

Most of the landingdeniers counterclaims don't even need an expert to be shown wrong, they are just stupid. .

i.e. Hoaxers claim that the flag was waving in some wind

Now everyone who bothers to do some research (instead of relying on the fraudulent Snippets the Hoaxers show) will find out, that the flag was held up by a wire, and appeared only to be waving while (and shortly after) being handled by one of the astronauts.

You also have to ask yourself if it is really believeable that NASA would miss a waving flag if they wanted to fake it?

Now certain  answerers may claim otherwise but if you read their stuff, and all the answers in the questions there he participated you will notice that all their "evidence" has been debunked numerous times.

Do they acknowledge it? Are they even try to explain why the explantions given are incorrect? No, they just repeats the same bunch of lies over and over again. That should give you an idea about their  honesty...

  8. Yes.

Some people say yes because they know what the f@&% they're talking about.

Some people say no because, as a very wise man once said, "some people are really f@&%ing stupid".

  9. Yes we did. People that say no say so for three main reasons.

    1. they no absolutely nothing when it comes to astronomy, or science for that matter.

    2. they are ignorant, conceited, self richeous, egotistical, miopic morons that are just out there for the attention.

    3. they are plain and simple idiots.

you see, all through history, with accomplishment comes controversy and questioning. And at first, i can see why some people would question it. but now with all the proof we have, they believe that man did not land on the moon. i have no idea what the thought process behind that is, or if they is any period.

when you hear some of thier arguments, at first you think "oh that can kinda make sense"... and then when you think about it, there theories are completely wrong.

Some of the most meaningless, non-intuitive, yet fairly convincing ideas are:

-that if we landed on the moon and planted a flag, we should be able to see it with a telescope.

DEBUNK: first of all, lets introduce a figure. the most powerful telescope on earth can only has football field sized resolution. that means that for every pixel we get out of a photograph taken with that telescope, each pixed there represents a football sized field on the moon. (that figure was introduced by i think Elithabeth H but i'm not completely sure about that. anyway, i did some reading up and its true.) so if the flag was the size of a football field, which is obviously isn't, it would still be extreamily hard to find in a photo.

    THEORY DEBUNKED!

    continuing,

this one makes a little more sense and has a fair argument, but it can still be easilly destroyed by scientific fact.

"Well when you look at the photo graphs the shadows indicate multiple light sources, and on the moon the sun is the only source of light so the images must be fake!"

nope. yes, on the moon the sun is the only light source. so what gives with those shadows? well, the moons surface, the lunar module, and the spacesuits of the astronautes are highly reflective. so when the sun shines down on them, a lot of the light is reflected in different directions, thus giving the illusion of multiple light sources.

    another theory, blown away.

and the grand finale, the king of all moon conspiracies, "what about the van allen radioactive belts? how could we get through those?"

good question, simple answer. people often think that there were radio transmissions received and sent by the astronautes while passing through the highly radioactive belts. well, there weren't any. x-ray radiation affects radio signal transmissions. so anything that was sent while they were in those belts, would not have been recieved. simple. but how could the astronautes survive the radiation? simple answer again my friend. the spacecraft had very plates of steel that stopped most of the radiation from getting to the astronautes. simple answers.

people say "yes" because they actually know their science and know the facts. they don't get fooled by the easy to make, flawed logic the conspiratists come up with. i have seen pretty much every documentary trying to prove the moon landing was false, and i was completely blown away by how easy these myths are to debunk. they seem strong and fortified, but a simple glance into the world of science, history, and plain old logic shows you how flawed these theories are.

i think at this point, we have pretty much won the battle in terms of the moon landing. there are still some stiplers saying it was fake, but the amount of people who once thought it was fake has significantly decreased. when you watch these documentaries, they don't tell the whole story. they tell what they want to tell. they leave out details that completely destroy their idea. and some people are simply too uneducated to understand. a so called "self taught scientist and engineer" who used to hang around here didn't even attempt to explain his reasoning behind whether the moon landing was fake or not, he simply said it was. its the common ignorance of people these days.

science shows that the moon landing was real. i am a scientist, and i know it was real.

  10. why some people say the Moon landings were faked:

    1) They live in countries, whose only accomplishments is discovering that human waste isn't that great of fertilizer to use on plants you want to eat later.

    2) The don't trust the US government.  Really, now.

why some people say the Moon landings were real:

    1) Because they were.  There is ZERO % chance they were faked.  Hundreds of thousands of people participated, making it impossible that all of them have kept it a secret.  Heck, only 4 of us knew about my Mom's surprise birthday party and my MOM called me and asked me when I was going to be there! (I didn't tell, honest)

  11. yeah i think they did.. neil amstrong did first.. ?
