The windfall profits all the states made off gasoline tax revenues is what she was talking about.  The higher pump prices generated a huge amount of gasoline taxes.  Palin simply wrote checks and sent the money back to the residents of Alaska.  Are you surprised your democrat governor did not do the same?

Poor simple man.

Years ago, when oil was first discovered and drilled in Alaska, the State of Alaska, appropriately got a cut. They invested that money incredibly wisely and each and every year, the state cuts a check to each and every man, woman and child in the state of Alaska. It's called the Permanent Fund Dividend.

They were sharing their take of the oil profits with the citizens of that state. I should think that would appeal to the socialist in you.
