Did my 8 year old start her period?

my step daughter had a little small amount of pink color on the t.p when she wiped...thats all....would you say shes just a little dehydrated?

If she didn't have any more than that, I would say that she started her period.  My daughter did something very similar, but nothing else came after that.  I'd say no.

no, i did this once when i was nine but didnt start my period till i was 12, so its fine

it is possible that she started, see if it happens again, if not then she probably did not

My daughter is a huge fan of using too much toilet paper (which beats the opposite but....) and actually abraded herself and found blood on her TP.  I reassured her that all was well and maybe just to dab a bit when she's gone pee rather than wipe.  That did the trick!

Are you sure that it wasn't from her having a bowel movement or maybe a UTI?  8 does seem a little young but I have heard that some kids are starting sooner now a days.

could be, my sisters friends daughter started at 9. although it usually is brown at first. and then turns red.
