Did my boyfriend discriminated me as a woman?

When I was about to carry the shopping bags from the car, he said to me that he should carry it coz im a woman and im weak., was that discriminatory?

Saying you were weak was kind of rude, but you should be glad that he wants to carry the heavy stuff for you. Maybe it's his round-about way of trying to be chivalrous.

I think you should let him carry the bags.  If he sees you as weak that is all to the good, it means he will do the heavy work for you.  Do you really want to be staggering around like a woman in some primitive tribal society, doing all the heavy work?

In all seriousness he made an observation on an empirical fact. If a guy is taller than another guy that is an empirical fact, there is no question of right or wrong. Was he rude to point it out? perhaps. Was he wrong in the observation, i'd assume not since if he is bigger and stronger than you then it's an empirical fact and not open to questions of right or wrong
