Did my call go through or not?

Question

ok im trying to vote for my favorite couple on this TV show called "so you think you can dance"

and i hear the msg "thx for voting for couple one on you think you can dance" and then a long silence

later a recorded msg, a lady's voice says "your call did not go through, please try again"

so did my call go through or not?

yes it went through, but then when their dial-in system hung up on you and you stayed on the line the phone system eventually figured you had tried to dial another number and assuming it failed sent you that second message..
