Two nights ago, I slept wih my soft contact lenses in and when I woke up I wanted to clean them. The one in my left eye was gone, I looked under the eyelids for it and everything but it looked like nothing was there so I just put in a new one. I don't know if it could have fallen out while I was sleeping because I definently would have noticed if it fell out while I was awake but could it be lost in the back of my eye. Because one of my friends told me that you can go blind from this

  1. That could be dangerous, my friend herself once lost a contact in the back of her eye and she was in need of a doctor since it was putting in danger the sensitive eye nerves, be careful!

  2. where u able to see proporly when u got up cause if not then your contact fell out well u were asleep

  3. are you sure it isn't folded up in your eyelid?  i've had that happen to me a few times.

  4. It is very probable that your contact fell out in the night because if you still had it hidden somewhere in your eye, you would feel the discomfort of it. I had a little micro-bead stuck in my eye once and it wouldnt come out no matter what I did or how many times I rinsed my eye out at home. Sometimes I wouldn't feel it but if I rolled my eye I would be able to tell were it was stuck. So I visited my doctor the next day and had it professionally washed out. I didn't have that problem any longer. So if you still think that contact is stuck in there you should get it washed out (just in case). But it's most probable that it just fell out, because if you roll your eye and feel no discomfort then you're okay. =)

  5. When you open your eyes underwater in a pool, does your head fill up with water ??

Of course not,  because there is no opening.

So there is no way for a lens to get behind your eye. The farthest it can go is under your eyelid.

If it was stuck under your lid it would be very annoying and you would know it was there.
