Question:

Did my eyes get worse when I started wearing glasses?

I've had glasses now for about 5 months. I haven't got to asking this question for a long time, but I'm pretty concerned now and would like to get someone's opinion on it. I'm not sure if my glasses are prescription, but all I did was look into some machine, and a hologram of a house went in and out of focus, and two different lenses were picked and tested. These did make my vision clearer. I got my glasses after, and they were fine. On the same day that night, I went to see a movie with a friend. I was doing a little test to see how much the glasses helped my vision taking them off to see how blurry it was, and putting them back on to see the screen clearly again. I noticed that the screen was extremely blurry; much more blurry than before I got the glasses. My eyes don't seem to have gotten any better, but not worse either. Also, these are all-day glasses, but I don't use them while I'm reading, because it is clear enough already. Thanks in advance for your help.

  1. When I got me first glasses the dr told me to wear them all the time, but especially when I was reading.  I did what he said but after about 6 months I had to get stronger glasses because I could not see the board again.  I started wearing glasses in the fifth grade and every six months I get stronger glasses.  Now I can't see anything past about 5 inches from my nose. I am totally dependent on my glasses. The dr said when I get out of high school next year I will not need stronger glasses.  I hope he is right.
