Did my gold clawed crabs mate?

i have a 10 gal tank with sand on ground and some rocks for my crabs it has a light and a filter to i have 2 females and 1 male i just found my male dead and the bottom of him was opens i mean there was this thing opened so did they mate and lay eggs

Probably not.  The chances are MUCH greater chance that it merely died, either from natural causes or some sudden fluctuation in temperature, or even a temporary degradation in water quality.
