Question:

Did my jam set right?

I made Jam last night around 6pm, the lids clinked and sealed. It has not been 24 full hours yet.

The jam is solid, it doesn't move in the glass

but when I tip it upside down or tilt it, a TINY bit of juice is present inside the glass.

Not a lot, and not every single one does it, just a couple. So, is it ok?

I didn't use lemon juice, will this make a difference?

  1. It's good. Most jams will do this you just have to mix it a little when you open it. I can't say about the lemon juice, I've never attempted to use it.

  2. the citric acid in the lemon juice aids in preventing darkening of the fruit...other than that you did good. :)

  3. its alright, give it some more time
