Did nearby Neutron star Calvera come from a Supernova?

  1. A neutron star can *only* result from a supernova.

    A neutron star is a mass of nothing but neutrons... y'know how an atom is mostly empty space?  Well, in a mass of *only* neutrons, there's no empty space.  The only force known to be able to compress matter so much (to crush electrons into protons to create neutrons) is only through a supernova.
