when they drill out the root what happens if they do not get all the way to the bottom, my dentist just said it was as far down as the drill would go, but he acted as though it was not an everyday occurrence.

  1. I think there is nothing to worry as your dentist is fully qualified to handle all the issues. Moresoever various sizes of drills are available depending upon the root lenght. He must have done, what is necessary. You can check the filling from the post RCT xray. For full information on Root Canal Therapy, you can visit the following link

They also have a free consultation service where dentist answers your queries.

  2. During a root canal procedure they use files to clean out the roots of the tooth. The roots are not always straight or there are sometimes blockages in the root and these things can prevent traditional root canal instruments from getting completely to the bottom of the root. When this happens, all may be fine if enough of the root was cleaned out and sealed. However, if enough of the root wasn't cleaned out enough, it may get infected and require retreatment with a specialist called an endodontist. They have all the special instruments necessary to finish a hard job like this if needed.

  3. this is no good..it will give you trouble in time..

that's why it's best to seek treatment from a dentist who specialises in that area...
