  1. Time to look for another career choice.

  2. Many colleges admire students for just taking AP courses. Having that on your schedule is very advantageous. It depends on the college, but most don't mind the AP score. Taking the class says you're willing to do college-level work, which is a good sign in college admissions.

  3. Was this your first AP test?

My experience with AP Euro was the same: I did very well (98%) in the class, but only received a three on the AP exam. It came down to two things.

    1. It was my first ever AP exam, and I didn't properly prepare for it.

    2. The class itself was too easy, and my teacher wasn't great, focusing on the things that were, inevitably, not on the test, but rather on very minor unimportant details.

Just because you didn't pass this one test doesn't doom your career choice, or your future concerning AP tests. Figure out what might've contributed to your low score and fix it for the next time. In my case, I studied (using a few review books and peer study sessions) and haven't received anything below a 4 since.

    Good luck with everything.

  4. From what I learned in AP, they spend so much time on the little stuff and not what needs to be done, with AP it is more like taking the concepts they gave you and the making you think of it as a whole. Its very hard to study seems the info is not totally what was learned. AP is not a big thing on Admissions these days, they are just extras for quality.

  5. Well, its a setback of course. I am pretty sure colleges will see your first attempt. Nevertheless, if you are truly serious take the test again next Spring. That is assuming you have not already graduated. Which if you are the guy above me is right.
