  1. Yes. They eat raw meat.

No. They don't get sick, because the man before had a different needs than us now.

And we shouldn't eat raw meat now. It doesn't mean that if the prehistoric man eats raw... doesn't mean we should also... it will be bad for our health nowadays...

  2. ...there were variety of fruits to choose from at that time, however being savage beast they may have eaten raw meat at times also, in order to survive.

did they get sick? I think our body has the ability to adapt to anything and everything around us.. so in the process maybe their body has adjusted well to the kind of environment that they have, including eating raw meat.

.. not to eat raw meat today .. NO! NO!.. my wife will not agree!

  3. There  was no humans "before" fire. Raw meat is present in our society since early times till today.

  4. Yes

  5. The odd thing about Homo Sapiens is that, for as long as he has been in existence (40 - 50,000 years), there are several things he has never been without: art, stone-chipped tools, tailored clothing, fire.  Even Neanderthal Man had fire (and used it to roast their human prey when they could catch them).  So the answer to your question is: No.  Never.

  6. yes. and prehistoric man WAS the meat.

  7. Yes. It is why we have a gall bladder. And they got sick a lot and tended to die young. With no fridges early man suffered from a lot of food poisoning.

We have a modified version of this now called the Atkins diet.

  8. Prehistoric man did indeed eat uncooked meat before fire was discovered, however! his gut was more adept at handling infection than our gut is today. You see it works on natures principle that if you don't use it, you loose it! What I mean by this is if you consume food that is contaminated with germs and viruses, all though a lot of you will fall ill and even succumb with the illness, a lot off your tribe would survive, and in surviving your immune system would improve and overcome those viruses in the future. But modern man I'm afraid has not got the stomach of a prehistoric man anymore, and he would succumb or become very ill by contaminated food very easily. Have a great day.

  9. Yes, they ate raw meat. But we shouldn't be eating raw meat, because we'll get very sick if we do.

  10. Yes they ate raw meat, but the chances of getting food poisoning from  a fresh kill are really low... it's meat that's been contaminated by fecal matter that developes e coli, and improperly canned meat that causes botchelism. Fresh meat ripped straight from a prey animal is pretty clean (not counting parasites that may be in it's blood).

During the war some doctor studied how long raw/cooked took to digest. Raw meat (particulary uncooked animal fat) digests faster.

  11. Yes, but that's also one of the reasons that the average life expectancy was under 20 during that time.

  12. They did eat raw meat but alot got sick because of it. When they began to use fire they were less sick because the bacteria were killed. you could eat raw meat but you're taking chances because the meat gets touched like 100 times before they even wrap it up for you. prehistoric man ate the meat right from the animal. They got sick from whatever bacteria was on it. There's people who eats raw meat in restaurants but they put it on the grill for a min or 2 just to kill the bacteria that might be on it.

  13. Yes, meat was the essential factor that enabled the human brain to develop. As for eating raw meat today, I'd not recommend it, our immune and digestive systems are developed according to our current environment.
