Did "Moulin Rouge" Ever Go On Broadway?

Question

I saw some really amazing musicals on Broadway like "Legally Blonde" and "Wicked(Amazing!)".

But then i saw "Moulin Rouge" on DvD. After seeing it a few times, I started to kind of like it. So I'm wondering if it was ever made on stage... because it would be interesting to see it.

No, but i would love to see it on stage. ou should go see XANADU it is soooo funny. Wicked is becoming a  movie isn't that weird? Check it out on imdb.com. BUT sadly no while High School Musical is trying to get on broadway (kill me before that happens) Moulin Rouge has not even made it on stage yet (let alone being on Broadway) I think it would be a cool thing to see though!
