These are the people that help save communities by fighting for homeless shelters, helping unions, and helping people get jobs, and the republicans just laughed at them. Do they have no morals?

  1. No.

They insulted the legitimacy of Obama's "community organizing".

  2. I think Palin is a breath of much needed "Fresh Air" for the Republican Party....However she, along with Rudy did insult community organizers....but that's what republicans do.....they play on the ignorance and fear of Americans....John McCain did that by selecting her to shake up the CAMPAIGN and not for the common good of the American people but it works!!! They Republicans know that they can always count on people to be ignorant and fearful....that is how elections are won by republicans

  3. im a republican and ive never insulted community organizers. h**l, i even volunteer at them twice a month to helping our nations less fortunate.

  4. No, Obama did that.

  5. isn't that a job for the salvation army? i would prefer my government stay out of my getting a job or a home.

  6. I didn't hear Palin insult any community organizer - why would she?  She was one herself - DUH!!

Edit:  Valerie S is correct:  Palin did NOT insult community organizers. Saying that being a community organizer doesn't qualify you for the presidency is NOT an insult.

I can drive a car, too, but that doesn't mean I'm qualified or licensed to drive a tractor trailer - same thing!!

  7. its one thing to be a community organizer while its another thing to be a president of the united states. anyone who tries to try and make the alike is highly mistaken. obama was able to strive as a community organizer because its just a small community. thats easy to work with, anyone can be a community organizer. HOWEVER as a president you're accommodating the millions of Americans from coast to coast. republicans were laughing at it because its not something to be proud of, it's something that has to be done and obama is using that as a justification of why he should be president. silly liberals just don't get it

  8. Yeah...unbelievable, eh?  They'll mock anything in an attempt to make someone look bad.  They seem hateful right now.

  9. Real Christian of them , wasn't it.  In the real Bible, not the Republican Bible, Jesus teaches us to be servants to others.  The Republican Bible teaches them to insult people who serve others.

Brian is wrong (again)... Being a community leader teaches humility.  Something every good leader needs.  Something our current leader does not have.  A community leader serves others.  The President is elected to serve the people of the United States.

  10. No, but that does nothing to prepare one to become President..

  11. Actually, I am a republican AND a community organizer, and no I wasn't insulted. She just put Obama's own statements in perspective. The lady runs a freaking state, and he wants to pretend she is just a PTA mom? He wants to pretend being a community organizer provides more governmental experience than running an entire state?  Gimme a break.

  12. They are the moral elite...only they can decide what is morally good, worthwhile and just.

Maybe they would be happier if CO's berated people with the Bible.

  13. Yes, they did insult people who wake up early, contribute to their community, and don't seek glory or lobbyst kick backs....we are DOOMED if these clingons "win" the election.....

  14. No, she made the point that being a community leader does not qualify you to run for president. I was a democrat, I don't trust Obama, he is not experienced and is too idealistic. The government can't save or really help me. I want less government not more! And I want for a woman to finally break the glass ceiling. Ex demo voting for McCain!

  15. Repubicans are the rich people. They make fun of the poor, they make fun of anyone and everyone who might help the poor people.

Yes, she insulted the community organizers. She is known to smirk and laugh at the poor in Alaska.

    They have no morals whatsoever.

    Democrats care about the poor...

Did you know George Clooney has raised over a million dollars for Obama? He was saying how he cares about the poor people, because he is rich, and he wants to help Obama get in, so the poor pple can have a chance in life....

    OBAMA 08

  16. I thought her comment was an ignorant slam against community organizers everywhere. She said that community organizers don't have 'actual' responsibilities -- apparently she had no responsibilities when she was in the PTA??

I wonder if the Obama camp will pick up on the underpinnings of her comment: If you're not elected and/or receiving a big paycheck, there's no reason to be responsible for anything.

Given the small populations of Wasilla (7000), and Alaska (670,000), I'd say her mayor-ship was basically equivalent to being a community organizer, and her governorship is like being mayor of a mid-size city.

    (Chicago has 3 million people.)

I believe Obama's 9+ years of experience in the State and US senate, plus his international experience, beat out Palin's year or so as governor.

But she's not going to be a pushover. Although not a Harvard scholar, or trained in law, she does come across well. It will be interesting to see how she holds up in a debate. I was appalled by all the half-truths and lies the republicans were floating out. I'm essentially a liberal independent, and don't expect the Dems to be able to deliver on all of their promises, but after hearing Giuliani and Palin last night I thought: the Dems speak truth to power, and the Pubs speak lies to the masses.

  17. Palin is an embarassment to all of the USA.

  18. She snidely insulted many more people than just community organizers. And no, they don't have any morals.

  19. No, she responded to Obama calling her just a small town mayor.  Both Obama and Biden have criticized her for lack of experience saying that being a small town mayor does not qualify her to be VP.  But ladies and gentlemen, she is the governor of a state, not just a small town mayor.

She has more morals and class then the left that have called her a bimbo, w***e, s**t, and *****.  That have suggested she is not Trig's mother, who have criticized her parenting skills because she works and because she is pro-life.  They have dragged her family through the mud in the last week, I think the community organizers out there, who listened to the speech, will realized it was only directed at Obama.

  20. She made a short and incomplete comparison between a community organizer and a mayor.

Taking off where she left off:  A community organizer gets to choose their cause; a mayor has to face whatever problem comes their way.  A community organizer finds problems; a mayor has to provide solutions.  A community organizer finds someone to blame; a mayor has to take accountability for their actions.

  21. No, they didn't.  They made a distinction between undefined "community organizer" experience and the job of a governor.

I have to agree that Obama and his supporters are exagerrating the experience value of being a "community organizer", especially considering that no specific accomplishments have been presented.  It isn't an insult to point out that exagerration.

  22. How does it create experience for the Presidency? Exaclty it doesn't.

If Obama is going to criticize her for being mayor of a small town, he brought this on himself and opened himself up for comparison.

A mayor of any size town has more responsibility than a community organizer and Obama was just a *part-time* community organizer who didn't do a anything since it was actually run by his Church.

  23. They laugh at their arrogance.

  24. Only the one running for President of the United states.

  25. Community organizers are actually engaged in extortion.  They threaten organizations with boycotts or strikes or other reprisals if they don't pay up.  Jesse Jackson was a community organizer, and he nearly got charged with RICO violations.

  26. Yes, they look down on those people trying to lift communities up. Once again they show who the real elitists are.

  27. No, they insulted Barack Obama's claim that being a community organizer meant he had more experience than Sarah Palin.

  28. She cuts funding to help unwed pregnant teens and laughs at those who help the poor.  That says a lot about who she truly is inside.  Yuck!

  29. Look at records of candidates/spouses. Name ONE organization the Sen & Mrs. Obama have supported without a paycheck involved. I have read profiles, maybe missed something. Morals? You are joking. I believe you should have a JOB before having kids, possibly even married. Car would be nice too. Yeah us independent thinkers have an idea of how America should be, but we do not shove it down everyone's throat. Universal healthcare? Medicaid. Elderly care? Medicare. Both of which pay 10x the going rate........that is our downfall......and my profession provides 1st hand experience.

If you are poor....maybe you should switch parties.  Dems PREFER you stay poor, hence job security for them.

  30. I don't think she's in any position to criticize anyone's experience.  That's Republicans for you,....the best defense is a good offense.

P.S. Did she forget Barrack's State Senatorial, Senatorial, Law, Professorial, Harvard Law Review Presidential, experience? I guess so.

I thought her speech was petty partisan politics as ussual.

  31. Only the idealistic, community organizers who think their experience is on the same level as the Commander in Chief of America's military forces.
