  1. I don't know.  It's kind of unusual for a guy his age to go from nothing special to the beast he is now.

  2. Barry stopped hitting homeruns? I'm pretty sure he hit 762 of them.

  3. barry stopped hitting hr because he was inj a lot and they walk him a lot, and he got slower. ludwick was always injured a lot and never got really started because of it. now that he's health he's proving all the teams thadidn'tnt want it wrong. look at jd drew, when he can be health most of the season he can hit good, but when inj a lot he sucks.

by the way steroids is guaranteetee a person will hit hr, it takes a good swing and good contact on the balthat'sats why some players don't hit a lot of hr hit hr sometimes because they hit it just right.

  4. No he didn't.

Lol...Barry Bonds didn't just start hitting homeruns last year, idiot.  I'm pretty sure he never stopped hitting 'em either.

  5. he didnt hit a lot of homeruns last year because he wasnt an everyday player he was more of a sub but this year he is starting almost everyday and i think he was good all along but this year just got his chance to show it.

  6. another reason why i hate Jose Canseco. now that every time a player has a breakout season they will be suspected of doing steroids but to answer your question i don't think hes been taking roids the guy has been on and off the DL much of his career and could never get started now he has a full year of health he finally can show what he can do

  7. no

  8. no... just... no

  9. barry was also 44 and he only had like 400 at bats. u could say that with any breakout season, all of the sudden a player is hitting 40 HR's.

  10. I never knew of him too much until last year. Sounds like from what people are saying he's been injured a lot in his career, so now that he's fully healthy maybe these are the numbers that he's just capable of putting up.

Plus, he's not that big. Same case could be said for Ryan Braun, they're both normal sized guys with a lot of pop.

  11. dude, just because he's having a good year doesn't mean he's taking steroids

  12. Here we go.The juice question. The steroid era.I just have to say it ticks me off that congress is wasteing our money with all these hearings and c**p.All these guys are being dragged through the mud over steroids when baseball didnt have a rule against using them when all this started. If we really wanted to push the issue we would find out that every player used them one time or another.Terry Bradshaw said in the 70s every football player was using them. The reason being is that doctors thought it was the best way to heal an injury and help prevent them.Back in the 20s-30s-40s-50s-60s and 70s players used amphetamines for energy to get through the long season.Maybe it should be *amphedamines with an asterick.I am so sick of hearing the steroid era and asterick.Remember how maris broke ruths single season home run record and they had an asterick next to his name because the season was a few games longer when Maris did it?They waited until Maris was dead to remove the asterick.Theres always something to nulify a record or put some kind of conditions on it.I read a story were last month a United state sprinter broke the record for the 100meter dash is Asia but they nulified it because there was a monsoon in the Pacific and the wind was at his back.True Story. How about corked bats and scuffing the ball? What about Neikro being busted for scuffing the ball and still making it to the hall? How about Rose being banished for something he did after he broke Cobbs record?I swear millions of people saw hum break Cobbs record but I am suppossed to pretend he didnt.Guess what Bonds was the only player to hit 400hrs and steal 400 bases before he even touched steroids. He is a hall of famer like it or not.Baseball didnt care when a single dad (Mcgwire) and a black man (sosa) battled till the last day of the season for a home run title and break Maris' record.Baseball was the number three ranked sport until that season. They said that more women watched baseball that year than ever before.I know and you know that McGwire never hid the fact he was doing steroids.Heck the guy had Andro in is locker for everyone even reporters to see.It was great then we all loved it.It was good for the sport and fans too.We need to realize that sport is entertainment just like the movies and Dr Phill and Jerry Springer.Whatever sells it and draws attention to it is how it will be.Barry Bonds being the bad guy was the attention getter. Why did they wait for Barry? Why didnt they have the huge crack down when McGwire and Sosa were selling so many tickets?Nobody is fooling me.Its all about the money and it is well documented that the press hated Barry Bonds his whole carreer because he didnt play their game.My point being is everybody did it and we will only know of the players they want us to know about.

  13. yea he did

  14. No, Ryan Ludwick has been plagued his entire career with injuries/illness.  This is the first year he has actually stayed healthy enough to not only play the entire season, but show his true potential.

Not everyone that succeeds in baseball takes or has taken steroids.  The steroid era is over.

  15. No he doesn't look big.

  16. What about Josh Hamilton. I'm pretty sure he did something.

  17. hes not that big dude.  And its not like he's just recently started hitting for extra bases.  He's leading the MAJORS in slugging percentage, right in front of Albert Pujols.  He's kind of a streaky hitter, he consistantly gets base hits, but is streaky with his power.  I dont think that means he takes steroids for a week every month though.  Hes a great athlete and he shows no side effects of steroids, absolutely out of the question

  18. no hes just good

  19. no dont think so.

  20. I want to say he is now cause he came from no where and now he is hitting home runs and all that. Now he makes the All-Star game..... Really??
