He suffered from an extreme Oedipal complex and was an avid coke user. He was neurotic and obsessive, the oldest of 8 children, his mothers favorite. He himself had six children, the youngest of which was Anna Freud. She studied under him and actually underwent psychological treatment in his care, which is considered to be controvercial due to his strong emphasis on psychosexual urges felt by children towards their parents. She is a rather famous figure in psychoanalysis.  To find out more about him, you could look up any of this and I'm sure you'd find something.

He had the knowledge and the self confidence to engage in introspection.

Before you concentrate on his finding, which you are probably incapable of understanding simply due to the lack of accumulated knowledge in psychiatry,...why not concentrate on your own short comings?

This scary process, if you can manage it, will be of value to you. Misunderstanding Herr Dcktor Freud's writings will benefit you in no way I can imagine.
