Did someone ever die from inhaling hairspray?

I dont know if you mean just using it or inhaling it on purpose.If so then yes thats solvent abuse ;]

If you are referring to deliberate inhaling ("huffing") then yes - this can and has caused instant death.  If you are talking about accidentally inhaling small amounts while applying to you hair - no.

It would be hard to say if anyone has EVER died from it, because I do not have access to the worlds death records...I did find that there are several deadly ingredients, so it is quite possible:

Poisonous Ingredient  

    * Denatured alcohol

    * Carboxylmethylcellulose

    * Polyvinyl alcohol

    * Polyvinylpyrrolidone

    * Hydroflurocarbon

    * Propylene gycolsince

Where Found  

    * Various hair sprays

Symptoms  

    * Breathing difficulty

    * Burning pain in the throat

    * Blurred vision

    * Burns to the eye

    * Rash

    * Low blood pressure

    * Stupor

    * Coma

I heard a story once about a woman who put on a lot of hairspray and then lit a cigarette and burned her insides and she died.  Pretty freaky!
