Did someone go to the beach yesterday May 24, 2008 that lives in Virginia Beach, VA?

I just want to know if the water is okay to swim in and not too cold because i was planning to go today, thanks

I'm thinking about heading out to swim the Beach this weekend. Water temperatures are above 60F degrees, and weekend temperatures are expected to be in the high 80's.

That should be warm enough to swim in, although it isn't the ideal temperatures we see in the summer... high 90's and much warmer water temps.  It should be noted, however, that Memorial Day is the day the season officially kicks off and the lifeguards are now out there.

So swim away... :-)
