  1. In case you did not know, most slaves were sold to whites by other Africans at a place near the mouth of the river Gambia. It's historic fact. Whites didn't go into the jugle to capture them. They were tricked or simply kidnapped and brought to the coast by other tribesmen. Incidently, africans practiced slavery themselves. Some places there still do.

NO, they did not go in and round them up. They did not need to. The africans did that part themselves. That's why it was so easy and also why they did not fight. It was profit for them.

  2. no, it is a way of life for them.

  3. Most Africans still don't resist slavery. Freedom is not a high priority.

  4. Actually some of the chiefs made a decent living handing their people over to the slavers (captains of slave ships), for 2 main reasons, 1 profit, 2, easy way to get ridof ones enemy, or rivial.

Some did resist, but it was fruitless, the africans had sticks and stones, the european traders had guns and cannon

  5. No they didn't resist slavery, because a lot of Africans were making money selling slaves to whites.
