  1. I think that they have to take control of the wheel witht his deal.  Tex gives them one huge bat and if Vlad can get a little healthier they will be unbeatable in the postseason.  That trade may make teams in their division that thought about taking a run at them become sellers in the next 24 hours and it also may force teams in other divisions to try and do somethng drastic to their line-up to try and compete...it is good to be an early tema in the market because you force bad trades by other teams.

  2. Yes, by far, they will win it all now.

  3. I love the Angels and I definitely thought they were the front runners before but now with Teixera they could be going after 100+ wins easily and they have a real shot to give Vladimir Guerrero his first World Series Title.

  4. yeah they are they should win it all if they do not this whole will be a faliure

  5. yes, i'm afraid it does.  AND they've been beating the Red Sox soundly before he even arrived.  This is not good news for the Sox :(

  6. i thought they were already the frontrunners in the AL

adding teixeira of course helps because it adds a power bat to protect vlad and a steady glove as well

and since their pitching has been tops in the bigs this year, ill agree that this does make them overwhelming favorites (if they werent already)

  7. I think they were the team to beat with the best record in basebal and a sweep of the current champs coming up.

They were a great team without Teixeira and nwo with him, they might jsut be unstopable. That extra bat will help them in close games but I'm most impressed with their pitching. They would be an extremely tough matchup for anyone in the playoffs.

  8. angels were a front runner before teixeira now they just made them so much deeper. they have everything

  9. Since I believe they were probably the team to beat before the trade I will say that they solidified the number one spot by obtaining Teixeira.

  10. Weren't they already the ones to beat?  Funny how, even with their record this season, coupled with the fact that they are schooling the Red Sox  this season, no one thinks they are all that impressive!   Does Texiera change people's views that much?  I mean, we were doing fine before and much of that can be credited to Casey Kotchman!  He was big for us  I just hope Texiera lives up to the hype.

  11. they already were even before they acquired him- they had the best record in baseball

  12. They are definitely the ones to beat. They have a great line-up, the best pitching, and if they get the 8th or 9th inning with a lead you might as well call the game. Their late relief is unbelievable. Although, I will say I am starting to dislike this team, as they are becoming like the Red Sox, Yankees, and Mets in the fact that they just throw money around to get a line up full of all stars. Baseball needs to restructure their systems to one like the NFL. Look at the great disparity in that league, we have new teams winning each year. Baseball is always the same, with very few exceptions. Look at some of the champs since 2000, Yankees, Angels, Red Sox (2), Diamondbacks (another team that spends).

  13. I think with the edition of Mark Teixeira the Angels just made their team better than it already is  & do have the best record in baseball, but , even though the Angels are a great team, they haven't done well against the Red Sox, yes they are right now but in a play off situation they haven't in the past & I hope they can this year.

  14. The Angels are defintely the best team in baseball and may have been before the Tex trade. They have deep pitching and now have the big power bat they lacked. The bad part is if Tex does not sign up again for next year and they lost Kotchman for a two month rental.

  15. Angels #1 and now everyone is shaking.

  16. Yes!!!

    Plain and simple.

  17. im a red sox fan and i think they (the angels)were the ones to beat before texiera, and are even better now.

its all gonna come down to there 3-4-5 hitters in the postseason i belive.

    only time will tell.

    p.s.

watch for papi to get hot about that time as well
