So, we know it was the Australian 2ND Imperial Force who arrived from France & Northern Africa to reinforce the Australian 18th Battalion in Papua New Gunea, and were the first to inflict a loss upon the Japanese and turned them around on the Kokoda Trail just before they reached the vital Port Moresby site.

Were the Aussies the only Allied Force on the Kokoda Trail, not Borneo or Singapore where English & Dutch were bravely fighting and 'surviving' as well, but we're the Australians the ones that defeated and haulted the j**s on the land, whilst the US won the Battle at sea ?

  1. Dont forget about the indigenous people who lived there.  The people the WW2 diggers called the "fuzzy wuzzies".  They were an important resource in repelling the Japanese from PNG.

*But I see you are specifically asking if another military unit assisted the diggers.  People always seem to forget the civilians who also defend and protect during times of war.*
