  1. Many thousands of centuries ago, the world was one big land mass. All human's originated from Africa and from there travelled the land until such time as the continental plates started to shift creating oceans and rivers impossible to cross.

Aborigine is the name given to those decendants that reached Australian shores at the time of the islands formation.

  2. The Australian Aborigines originated in Africa like all modern humans. They probably arrived in Australia within a few thousand years of the exodus from Africa after following a coastal route via India and the Indonesian archipelago (although the land was differently shaped back then and there were fewer islands as the sea level was lower). They have been in Australia for at least 40,000 years, and probably longer, which makes them one of the longest peoples to remain in one spot of anyone. Their migration involved crossing at least one stretch of water, which means some form of watercraft much earlier than it is usually considered that watercraft were invented.

  3. No one is really sure of the answer to this, but the current tool dating evidence suggests that their ancestors arrived in Australia sometime around 40,000 years ago, most likely from New Guinea.

    See under 'Migration to Australia':

  4. Here! Here! snowpea you got it.

  5. personally I dont believe they did, I dont even believe they were the first people in Australia, I have a theory that ancient pygmy tribes were the first to inhabit Australia, I believe pygmys were killed off by aboriginals when they did come to Australia, I think that aboriginals came down threw Indonesia possibly from an Indian, Asian or African country.

  6. Originated in Africa same as we all did.

Gosh Iskandar.  How flattering (see below)

  8. I think everyone on earth came from Africa and when Australia became an island they were the only people here for 40,000 years which makes them kinda unique.
