Question:

Did the Bali Boycotts related to the Corby case work?

In 2005 I think there were calls by some Australians to boycott travels to Bali because they believed that a woman convicted of drug smuggling there (Schapelle Corby) had been wrongly accused.

Did this boycott work? Are there any statistics to show that tourism numbers went down?

What about tourism numbers in Bali now in 2008 at a time when most Australians seem to believe Corby is guilty?

  1. Yes the boycott worked. Bali has filed for bankruptcy and closed it's doors.
