I haven't really heard anything about it. How many weeks left if it hasn't beaten Titanic left?

  1. No It hasn't.

    It beat Star Wars record.

So Right Now its in 2nd place

    behind titanic.

    :]

  2. No and it will not. It will miss it by about 100 million.

Remember, tickets cost more today than when Titanic was in theaters. If you calculate individual tickets sold, not dollars, The Dark Knight is 32nd and Titanic is 6th. Still well ahead of TDK.

No one knows how long it will be showing. It is up to the individual theaters. It's theater numbers will get smaller and smaller each week. It is still in over 3000 theaters right now.

Sillycentipede, your figure is way high. TDK only made 14,796,586 last week domestically which is what the question is about.

  3. no, it probly wont it's like 100million dollars behind and it's getting old.

And it definitely won't beat it worldwide since titanic grossed 1.8bil.

  4. It is approaching the 1 billion dollar club but I highly doubt that it will reach it.  I know it is still earining like 30million dollars a week but maybe if they stop it in movie theaters then open it up again near award time that it will reach it.  But it is not certain yet.  I for one hope it does.

  5. No, its about 5 million shy of hitting 500 million. It should reach that after this weekend or so. It won't come close to beating Titanic's record though. It will probably get to somewhere around 510 million dollars, which is still phenominal.

  6. it should the Dark Knight was way better than titanic. but i dont think it will.

  7. I think it did back in early August. At least, it broke the record for reaching $300 million in record time, which is the record held by Titanic. I'm not entirely sure if that means it broke the record for gross income.

As of this weekend, The Dark Knight has grossed $493,671,047 in earnings, and finally fell to second place, under Tropic Thunder.

  8. nope i dont think its going to, and i dont want it to. i mean i LOVE dark knight, its amazing and heath ledger is awesome, but i loved titanic first and i love it just a little bit more so i would prefer to have titanic first and dark knight second = )
