I think it looked like an awards show like the Oscars.  But they had some good speeches and I enjoyed some of the film clips.  I got kinda teary eyed with the Kennedy one.

I wondered how the convention would appear following on the heels of a miraculous closing ceremony at the Olympics.  The convention was spell binding.  Let's see if Cindy McCain can bring her audience to tears!

Yeah, like the blind leading the deaf and dumb. Some TV executive could have a hit this fall developing this in to the newest comedy sensation. My head almost exploded listening to Pelosi!

Actually, it looked like a portrait of America. There were people of all races, colors and genders. Compare that the what will be the Republican convention, where everyone tends to look the same - mostly male and white. Republican conventions tend to resemble board meetings for a major corporation except for the obligatory balloons.

The Democrats look like they are having fun, the music was good, the people were happy and since they only do this once every four years, it is definitely time to party.
