Did the Mayor of LA just confirm illegals do not pay taxes?

WOW where to start. If electing Obama means that people that are CRIMINALS -illegal aliens, are all of a sudden NOT criminal just because Obama is elected, then Obama is a scary proposition for American then I originally thought.

The commentor also assumes a lot. He assumes that people that acted illegally to get here, stay here illegally and do many other things illegally to maintain that, would want to become “legal citizens”. Obviously that was not their first choice as they chose to come here not in a legal manner but an illegal one.

Oh man where to start, let's just say I can take that piece by piece and give it MY interpretation like you did. No that's not what he confirmed. Fact is a lot do pay taxes but some don't. Get them all paying taxes. Get them ' out of the shadows '. But it won't be as much fun if we don't have them to complain about will it? I doubt they will make citizens of them especially not the bad seeds. It's coming accept it or not that's up to you. It's not Obama's mission to destroy us or McCains as far as reform. Since there already here and Obama or McSame are not proposing to send them back.Why not make them pay taxes.

Would certainly help with this huge debt w and the republicans gave our kids to pay.

why are illegal immigrants viewed as criminals and the american companies that hire them arent even mentioned? truth is, illegals pay taxes...they just dont get the benefits that they are paying into like ssi. so...they are basically giving and not taking....and when have you seen a gringo picking lettuce in the fields? they dont cuz illegal immigrants arent taking jobs from americans...they are simply doing the jobs americans dont want....and doing it better and cheaper. fact, is most ppl arent aware that we were better off accpeting illegal immigrants in this country....   it makes more economic sense. if you put all these immigrants on tax rolls, you also make them eligible for the same benefits we are eligle for, as americans. if you deport them, the economy suffers esp agriculture...who depend on thier cheap labor. it is not coincidence that food prices were so low for so long in part cuz we had unchecked illegal immigration from mexico...we allowed this to happen cuz we needed them....  now they are criminals? hahaha  the real criminals are the ones that took advantage of these workers for years and got rich off them....not the illegal immigrants that wouldnt be here if we didnt hire them.  gimme a break....even the gov't knows this...thats why they dont do a thing about immigration. we need illegal immigrants more than they need us.... youd have to be racist or just ignorant of how this country works not to have realized this by now.

and the arguement that we need to secure our borders doesnt wash....   name one terrorist that came thru the mexican border. the biggest terrorist in this country before 911 was a white american named timothy mcvie.

They can be "brought out now" and many already are on the tax rolls, the IRS will give them an "ITIN" to use in place of an SS# for paying and filing taxes, it's been that way since the 1996 welfare reform act

Millions of them use it, so we know who hires and employs illegals and where to find them......."if" we wanted to deport them, I suspect we don't as they do an awful lot of hard work that "needs" to be done...

No,because I know for a fact that some of them do pay!If they don't pay,then I guess that there are a lot of illegal immigrants not working in the US which also means they are not "stealing" any jobs from American citizens! Right?????

u know EVEN if he said out loud "THE UNDOCUMENTED DO NOT PAY TAXES AT ALL" they still DO PAY all kind of taxes . i am pretty sure he did not meant what u are implying ... anyways i just wonder how can anyone argue about they not paying taxes when clearly anyone who buys stuff like everyone has to do do has to pay taxes whether they like it or not , it is just pure and simple logic , NOT a good point to be arguing about .

note : if anyone disagrees with what i posted please clarify how do the undocumented manage to not pay sale Taxes and to not contribute when they buy houses and rent apartments , i think it would be MORE interesting than just seeing a bunch of thumbs down with nobody justifying those thumbs down .

EDIT : mrcdkid makes a good point plus i am not sure why the need to try to slander the city major when the rest of Americans do not see such organization as a racist one since it is obvious given the two candidates the Americans chose to be presidential candidates , presidential candidates which support LA RAZA as just what it is , an organization which is trying to help Latinos being successful .

All that have a job pay taxes but yet they do not get anything at the end of the year. So where does all the money go? They also do not take away jobs they do the jobs that no body want, would you sew a shirt for $0.15 or stack heavy boxes for $8.25 or break your back picking fruits. I do not think so, so before attacking innocent people you should take a moment and think. I know that all of them are not angels but the majority is, in all races and cultures there are bad seed, we just have to deal with them.
