  1. Yes they did.

  2. yes, it was disclosed but you probably are naive enough read all the national enquirer articles in the local super market.

this is going to be an even closer race..it maybe a surprise finish

I don't care who wins at this point

this is going to make or break further elections with all the bs

  3. yes mccains reps came out and admitted that they knew that her daughter was pregnent and yet chose to go with her anyways. first off let me say as a mother i feel palin should have said ty but no ty to mccain considering the ridicule she must have known her daughter would face once her pregnancy was known worldwide. i feel sooo bad for bristol, i was a teen mother myself and know how hard it is for just the people around u to know ur pregnent let alone the whole world in on it and people who are out to make ur mother look bad using u to do it. i think this makes her look very bad as a mother and someone whose political party touts family values. how is it showing she values her family by putting her career ahead of the well being of her child

  4. Yes, I have no doubt that they did.

I have no doubt that Mrs. Palin probably told them about it, before she was announced as McCain's running mate.

And they decided that since her daughter and family are handling it well and making responsible, pro-life choices, it was a non-issue.

If this is an issue at all, it's a positive one.

The Palin family are sending a positive message -- that unborn babies have a right to life, and that strong families can weather storms like this.

This situation has not turned me off to Sarah Palin at all.  If anything, the grace and honesty and strength with which she has handled this situation has made me an even bigger fan of hers.

    .

  5. Oh they knew all right.

But I don't think they want any more skeletons to come out, that's why some of McCain's people are on their way to Alaska.

  6. The funny thing is IF they knew...they knew exactly 4 days before they announced she was the VP pick because that is when they started vetting her.  But more likely, he personally found out about it on THURSDAY, the one and only time he met with her before announcing she was the VP on FRIDAY.  Great job McCain.

Anyway, I think he did not know about it.  Because if he did, it would of been better for him and Palin if she made this announcement BEFORE he picked her.  Because they knew it had to come out...a pregnancy isn't something you can hide and everyone in their hometown knew about it.  But it makes it kind of hard to announce it before when you only started considering her last week.  Either way, it just shows how incompetent John McCain is when it comes to sound decision making.

  7. yes.. They knew about it.. Its a none issue... no one will be talking about it in 2 days..

  8. Yes, even the liberal papers admit that much.

  9. Arthur B. Culvahouse Jr., the lawyer who conducted the background check told the AP in an interview Monday that Palin underwent a "full and complete" background examination before McCain chose her as his running mate ... so yes they knew .....

  10. Yes.

    And, they played it beautifully.

Obama's camp came out accusing the Palin's of covering up the pregnancy, that Bristol was the biological mother of her brother, etc.  They even went so far as to doctor up photographs.  And then....

Palin and McCain told the hard truth (that the 17 year-old daughter is five months pregnant) and exposed just how low the Obama team will go to make life difficult for their opponents. Obama's team said nasty things about the daughter AND the infant. Some Obamacans went so far as to imply incest! That is snake-belly low. Funny when you consider that Obama says he is the candidate above such lowly operations.

  11. Yes they did.

  12. OMG. Please. The whole town of Wasilla knew it. Of course McCain knew it. In fact, it's a plus for him. Why? Because the daughter and her boyfriend are going to get married like people with decency do. Nobody is running a campaign on perfection. It's the choices people make that show their character. Even Obama wishes this whole nonsense would go away.

  13. They say they did, but I have my doubts.

  14. Why would it have mattered. Last time I checked Bristol Palin wasn't running. Although a case could be made for her having more experience than Obama.

  15. I am sure they were told.

Obama and Biden do not care. They are out campaining hitting the trail gearing up

  16. Noooooooooooooooooooooo.......

  17. They knew and they probably thought it would be great publicity. It is all part of their Hail Mary pass.

Read the posts here. Somehow it is making poor Sarah a martyr. Guess it plays well with a certain type.

Go figure. Does anyone (including the good mother) care about the kid????

  18. They knew.

  19. Why don't you care about her political philosophy and accomplishments.

She incurred the rage of members of her own Republican party in Alaska in defeating an incumbent Governor that was corrupt.

Can you give me an instance where Obama stood up against any corrupt Democrats?

Sarah Palin has a record of cutting waste full government spending, something that John McCain's campaign is all about.

  20. Does it really matter, who is running ?  Sarah or her daughter ?
