Did the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (pbuh) work any miracles to prove his prophet-hood?

Yes he did what the Bible said he would do at that specific time in history, when there were floods, volcanoes, earthquakes, meteorite showers, floods, pestilence and darkness on earth. In addition to the Quran ( Sura fil and others) scientists have discovered these things happened in the days of prophet. At that time, the Bible says the great one would unite the Assyrians, Egyptians and Israel and defeat the Romans (Gog). This  is why the Jews and Christians of Egypt, Jordan, Israel (Palestinians), Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Turkey accepted Islam. How else could a few thousand poorly equipped Arabs from the desert spread their religion and language among millions of Christians and Jews of the Byzantine Empire- the most powerful military force on earth at that time?
