Did the One Tree Hill writers have to write in Lucas' and Brooke's break-up in season 3?

Did they do this because of Chad's and Sophia's real life divorce? Or was it just the direction the producers wanted to take the show?

Also....does anyone know how they were able to stand each other on set after their break-up?

i don't think so, they might of had some influence but they are the bosses and they aren't going to do a dramatic change cause of the characters. Sophia said in an interview that her and chad can have a civil conversation and that she would never let her personal life get in the way of her career.

No, because the writers didn't write all the things they went through for nothing.

They slept together,Luke wrote a letter to her,he only said to of the speaches of why he loved her and they both were to her.."the stormy night when brooke read his letter".

You could tell they wrote Luke's character to be really in love with Brooke.

They are friends again on the set though,

But i think we might see Brucas again because they had alot of chemistry season 5.

And even though their break up, the actors have to be proffesional about everything..but at the same time the writers have to respect their relationship.so im not sure.

But seriously think about it..for the preview of season 6, if brooke and lucas would be completely over, they wouldnt add Brooke to one of the choices.

I don think we have seen the end of Brucas yet.

I have heard that yes they ended up breaking them up because of their real life problems. I know not everything that you hear is true but i believe it is because their break up in the show and then his all of a sudden "love again" for peyton was really sudden. I know that he loved peyton first blah blah blah but he told brooke she was the "one" and that he loved her and then all of a sudden like 5 episodes later he loved peyton. anyways i think it was true and i heard that Sophia was the one that requested it.

I have always wondered how they were able to stand each other on the set after. Mostly Sophia, because chad cheated on her with Paris hilton. I just think that she is very strong and she was able to put her feelings aside in order to act. Or i think that she also pulled from her pain to act wonderfully in the scenes in the show when they were finally breaking up..like this one

she is such a strong girl. she is definitely one of my faves on the show

i was a brucas fan and then i decided that i didnt want her with lucas because he hurt her so much. but i do know who he picks in season 6 :) so email me if you want spoilers
