Did the Packers pressure Favre to retire at the end of last season? If so, why?

  1. i think Ted Thompson did add some pressure to the situation and persuaded Favre to retire cause Thompson wants his QB which is Rodgers to get his chance and he knows as long as Favre was there , Rodgers can't win the starting QB spot , but at the same time no one knows whats really going on , everyone knows there is more to this story then just Favre retired and he wants to come back , i think there are  some personal issues involved, and who gives a guy at least 20 million to stay home


  2. Not the packers, but Ted Thompson (Packers GM) did. He has wanted Brett out of Green Bay for a long time. The reason is because Thompson drafted Aaron Rodgers. So he wants Rodgers to start and not Brett So that he can get his "future HOF" player out on the field. So yes Thompson did pressure him.
