  1. Israel, since its inception, has always been a socialist country. The influx of Russian immigrants has not changed the style of government. The Russians came here looking for a better place to live, and while they have retained their culture and language, most have integrated into the Israeli lifestyle, especially the younger generation.

The only change you see, really, is that some signs are written in Russian as well as English, Hebrew, and Arabic.

  2. yes many Russian immigrants where very happy and love Israel, many are not even Jewish and prefer to live in Israel over Russia.which other country offers new immigrants so many financial incentives as Israel?

Israel is not becoming more eastern European, the Russian immigrants have accepted the Israeli culture, even though many still speak Russian to each other most have learnt Hebrew.Israel has always been a secular country so it hasn't become less religious.no it is not more communist, Israel is a Democratic country and is still the only true democratic country in the middle east.

  3. What most of them have done is used it as a stop-off point to pick up a visa for the U.S. or Canada...  They don't particularly care to be there and, I am told, face prejudice there.
