Did the Scarlet letter "A" really exist? Who's a "dorm-mother"?

1. Does anybody know, did the Scarlett letter "A" really exist or was it made up in the book?

2. Also, what does "A" stand for?

3. Who's a dorm-mother? What does she do?

yes it really exists, weather it was made up in the book or not. you know about it. don't you?     adultris.    an adult female/male whom makes sure you young people don't break rules.

i never read it but

1. I is suppose to be true

2. It stands for adulter ( or however u spell it)

3. A dorm mom is like  a Resident Assistant. They just watch over kids on their assigned floor
