Did the Swahili visit Australia before the Europeans? Part 2?

I think it's probably too late to ask an Aboriginee. Australia was discovered in 1606, and it is unlikely that any Aboriginees from that time are still alive.

  1. It seems very unlikely.  What evidence is there for this claim?

  2. Not really sure what drugs you're on but it sounds like fun!

My understanding is that the Indigneous people of Australia migrated down from Papua New Guinea and Indonesian Islands.  I believe that there was a land bridge between PNG and Cape York during the Ice Ages and people could walk or walk almost all the way.

As far as I know there was no immigration from Africa.

  3. omfg!  I'm laughing so hard that I nearly choked on my coffee.

    Kevin7, you need a lobotomy!

  4. I suggest that an aborigine answer your question as they would be the only ones around at the time who would know for sure as they lived here long before the rest of us.

  5. that is my question and you cannot 100% prove they did not visit before Europeans, it could of happened but it was  not documented or not well documented
