  1.   Are these the same consultants that told New Labour that the:-

      Millennium Dome

      Sign all these European Treaties

      Weapons Of Mass destruction

      Open the floodgates for immigrants

To stop drunks, open the pubs 24hrs a day

      Relax the drug Laws

      Spin.

      Take Bobbies off the beat

      Red tape

      Politically Correctness

Sell our Gold Reserve, at the lowest price for years

Were all good ideas, If so, I think the money has been wasted.

  2. The only consultants I'm aware of are those that Gordon Brown has, at our expense, trying to improve his image and keep him in office.  He should pay for this out of his own pocket, although that wouldn't work, either as he could then claim it back as expenses.

What a pathetic situation all round.

  3. what consultants?

  4. unlikely

  5. It's a well known tactic by civil servants, to pay for consultants, in order to disguise their own lack of competence.

The taxpayer gets very poor value.

  6. Here is how it works:

Government asks consultants to find ways to save money.

Three months later, consultants tell govt to offload some of its bureaucratic tasks onto business sector.

    £30,000,000 please.

Year later, govt asks consultants to find ways it can help private enterprise.

Three months later, consultants tell govt to take govt bureaucracy off business sector.

    £30,000,000 please.

  7. No.  It would have

    been better spent 'In-house'

  8. Unlikely:

'The entire north of england is a lost cause' from a Blues Think Tank can't have cost more than that extremely valuable info is worth. imagine the savings we'll make as a country without having to invest in anywhere but london from now on as and if you consider it a thirivng metropolis now imagine how brilliant it will be on the m25 and tube with an extra 30 million workers everyone will have a right laught getting to work if they follow the think tanks recommendations that 'the only way to have a better life is move to london' - tip top spend on the part of the blue party.

  9. Definately not - these kind of Consultants don't do anything but talk a good game but actually bring nothing new to the party!
