Question:

Did the UK make the right decision by joining the EU?

Statistics show that since joining the EU the UK has had a mass influx of people moving to the country, causing a strain on Government funding.

Do you think it was a mistake to join or is there hope for the UK's future?

  1. We weren't asked and if we had been we would all have said no as its a big cash cow

  2. NO!......................  B I G  mistake!

  3. Well, if you all think it was that bad, get out of it. I'm sure you can organize a (violent perhaps - just to be heard?) protest or organize a petition for a national referendum on remaining in the EU.

You'll make the rest of us a big favor... No more farmers' discounts, no drama whatsoever on every treaty, no more joined free market for you, no more special rights for the UK only... It will be a great relief for other 26 nations. I strongly support your decision. We'll see how you will manage than. I'm very sure that not that good anymore...

But it's the easiest to blame everyone but yourself. You think that the EU is responsible for people immigrating to the UK? Do you think that there would be only "pure Anglo-Saxons" living in the UK if you were not a member? Think again.

  4. Ted Heath even admitted that he lied to us during the lead-up to the referendum in 1975. That was about joining the "Common Market", and the Conservatives wanted us in.

Nobody voted in favour of a "European Union". They have pushed it down our throats in the most cynical, undemocratic and Stalinist way I can imagine. You can't even vote "no" when they do have a referendum. I live in France (although I'm a Brit) and they had the sense to vote "no" to the Constitution. But it didn't just go away, did it? No, it came back after changing a couple of lines, and this time, they're going to be bloody certain not to allow the people to say anything about it at all.

You can't vote "no" in the EU. You can only vote "not yet". A "yes" vote is binding, while a "no" vote is effectively ignored.

As far as immigration is concerned, I shouldn't worry THAT much - most of these immigrants will find their way into decent, worthwhile jobs. Those who don't, however, the EU probably forbids us to hoof out. There is a point there.

Get out of it, as fast and as far as possible, while we still have SOME control over our own country.

  5. good  if we leave mate. i doubt that one. you need our money and air space. i for one hope we do come out and tell you lot to f**k off anytime you come knocking on the door.

  6. No! It was the biggest mistake ever! Edward Heath was the traitor of the 20th Century. He lied to the British people and deceived them into thinking that the Common Market was all about trade. The EU is illegal. The full sovereignty of the United Kingdom is not now in the hands of the Queen; her powers have been handed over by a despicable traitor Edward Heath. Edicts and laws can be sent out from Brussels and Strasbourg which are enforced by traitors in the United Kingdom. European Law and Community Law is now destroying the respective laws and customs of the British realm and the very birthright of the British people.Regarding the influx of people, this serves only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity, which is part of our Government and the EU's plan.If EU Constitution is ratified,it will come into force on 1st January 2009...if that happens, there will be no hope or future.

  7. no No NO for quadrillenth bazillenth time no!!!!!!

it has all but destroyed the UK.  that communist organisation has its own interest at heart not ours. they intend to rule like Stalin did.  just look at who makes up the rulers of the EU-seless  mostly EX-communist's  and there are no ex-communists , once one always one. not to mention the line going back to the old n**i party.

it was and is a huge mistake and it can only get worse for the people not better. only the ruling class'es will benefit. while we pay ever higher tax and face more restrictions and we WILL LOOSE our power of vote.

Grodonski Brownakov has made his private deal with the EU-seless if he manages to get England in. we Scots want out of the union before we are lost as well

we can and should do it on our own

  8. The Conservative b******s made the decision, not the UK.

And it was the "wrong" decision.

  9. why the UK joined th EU is because they were economically collapsing

  10. No and/or Yes

  11. No.

    and we were never asked.

  12. the EU 'with the help of mass 'choking immigration will destroy the country. it will then have to be financialy rescued by the federation, and from then on WE DO AS WERE TOLD..... thats so obviously the EU and new labours joint plan...... think about it. we all know that the structure is collapsing under the strain so does the labour party. if they had the good of the country at heart, they would close the borders....but its not the good of Britain they have at heart. its the good of the federation of n**i Europe that they have at heart. because thats where they're future lays....not with Britain. and not with the British people.

  13. Whoops!

The U.K. did NOT make the decision to join the E.U.

The Conservative government did it for us.

And until ALL E.U. countries make the same rules regarding immigration, then I am sure the U.K. will not have any future.
