Did the US girl gymnasts get ripped off?

I'm talking about calling the one girl's name, and then letting her wait 15 minutes to psych her out. I would especially like to hear from people with a gymnastics background.

  1. No, the girls did not get ripped off. They flat out choked. Bobbles and falls on the balance beam, and then the fall and steps out of bounds on floor exercise did them in.

I do however believe there should be an investigation on those Chinese girls. The age requirement is 16. There's no way in h**l you can tell me that all of those girls are over 16. The oldest one IMO looks 15, the rest not even 13. Something is fishy in China and needs to be looked at.

Not making any excuse for the American team. Like I said, they blew it...but something ain't right on that chinese team.

yeah thats a issue that will be debated untill the next olympics...

  3. It probably happened to everyone within medal range as prescribed by the communist politburo or secret police to the judges.  Considering the shady way communists operate, I'm not surprised to see them "have a chat" with judges and "communicate" to them that China is supposed to have an advantage with judging, add "difficulty and style points" to Chinese athlete's scores and to ignore mistakes made by Chinese athletes.  That's what happened because the Chinese suck and are boring compared to other world gymnasts that take risks every competition from qualifying to medal rounds.

The delay between apparatus and floor exercise start times for China's opponents was also courtesy of the communist party having a chat with judges beforehand.  It worked because it made Alicia Sacramone itchy and impatient to have her make a mistake in both the balance beam and floor exercise.

  4. ive done gymnastics my entire life and stuff like that happens ALL the time. things just come up. It does really stink tho that she did have to wait and get psyched out. the US should have had it in the bag

    so disappointed

  5. I think that it was horrible that they made her wait but it does happen,  I would have used that extra time to not think of my mistakes I know this is very hard to do but go threw the routine in my head the way it is supposed to be done.  That always helped me,  I feel really bad for her everyone makes these mistakes and nobody is ever going to let her forget this like she doesn't feel bad enough.  I think that they all did very well.

  6. EXCUSES EXCUSE EXCUSE. The Chinese won fair and square. You are a shame to Americans. Stop with the Excuses!

    Go Team USA!

  7. Sounds like an excuse

  8. i think the reason they got silver was because of their mistakes, im not a gymnast i am a swimmer but i use to do gymnastics and i know a mistake when i see one, some gymnasts just didn't stick their routines and they made sloppy mistakes... you could see them clearly on the play back

  9. What do you mean? Do you mean the judging time limit?

Well you must remember that this happened to every country. Not only the U.S. But I think the U.S. gymnastics girls were just too nervous.
